The Rooms

We are a small peaceful and quiet lodge. You really do feel like you are staying in a private and tropical yard oasis in Winneba by the beach which is great for families seeking down time together whilst on their travels through a busy country. At the moment we have four rooms, each sleeping one to four people. For every person over two, an extra mattress will need to be asked and paid for. For best comfort, the rooms are well suited for two people.

We started building our rooms in 2014, most of the work designed and built by Isaac the owner himself. When lodging in our wooden huts, you get to experience a sense of living with nature and with the sound of the birds, the wind, the ocean, a quiet mind, a mosquito net, a ceiling fan and a good mattress, you are set for a good nights sleep. The three wooden hut rooms have a shared toilet and shower downstairs. Inside of all of our rooms you will have access to a hand basin. All of the water passing through these taps and through the showers has been purified and energised, so the water is more then safe to drink and when showering, will feel soft and revitalising on your skin.

All the materials for the wooden hut rooms are locally sourced within central region and are sustainable, particularly the raffia you see on the outside of the wooden huts. The raffia, which grows in water and the bamboo both grow very fast, making them extremely sustainable and great materials for buildings. Other types of wood you will see inside the structure are sapele, odum, odanja, wawa and spgrada. They are both red and white woods, which are all used for medicines and are also found in central region.

Most of the furniture, materials and accessories you will find in our rooms are sourced and made in Ghana as we really believe in the motto: “Grow Ghana, Buy Ghana and Build Ghana!” Appreciating and supporting local materials, tradesmen and Ghana’s resources is our priority. Its best to make a booking as the four rooms can fill up fast! We also offer a safe place for budget travellers to put up a tent and relax in a hammock.

This is a double room. This is the best room to catch the sun rise through your door and relax in a hammock on the large porch to watch the fire flights light up the night sky and the moon rise over Sir Charles Beach: 60gh per night.

Wooden Hut Room

There are two of these double rooms that have a door inside that connect them: 50gh per night.

There is also a connecting door to the Wooden Hut room with the porch so the three rooms are great for family and friends.

Yard View Room

This is a large tiled double room with its own private toilet and shower and a nice view of the Yard. There is also a work space and large wardrobe: 80gh per night.

A flat screen TV and bar fridge can be added on request at an additional fee.
