Summer Yard is always growing, evolving and changing, as is nature. At the moment we are operating a vegan café and restaurant as well as a coffee, juice and smoothie bar. Our menu changes by season and with what organic produce we have growing in the Yard’s farm.

All of our food and drink produce is grown in Ghana. If it cannot be located in Ghana, it is sourced from neighbouring countries before sourcing them from the rest of the African continent.

We believe in the benefits of maintaining the circulation of Ghana’s best produce within the country and in the vision: “Grow Ghana, buy Ghana and build Ghana” in order to transform poverty stricken communities into more sustainable communities rooted in culture and black identity. We wish this for the entire continent and it is possible as Africa is rich in natural resources and produce! So to start somewhere, we want to contribute to integrating more nutritional and local products into local food markets, to support local farmers, to support healthy eating in the community and to support the shift towards more sustainable living.

We serve only vegetarian and vegan foods and believe this leaves an environmentally friendly footpath behind what we do. We also keep things eco friendly by minimising our plastic wastes and composting all of our food wastes, which goes back into our small-scale organic farm.
